Last week two BPA (Business Professionals of America) students competed at Nationals in Anaheim, California. Please join me in congratulating Pa Ia Xiong on placing 16th in her event and Sander Solsvik for receiving the Ambassador Torch Award. This recognition is awarded to students at the national level, which requires at least 70 points in each of the following categories:

• Leadership
• Service
• Cooperation
• Knowledge
• Friendship, love, hope, and faith
• Patriotism

Students earn 5, 10, 15, or 20 points for each activity they plan or participate in throughout the year. Congratulations to both students on their hard work this year!
