Martin Browne has been named the new head Osseo Boys Soccer coach. Browne, a 2006 graduate of Osseo has been working towards leading his own program and gaining coaching experience both at the high school level and club levels.

“I’ve been an assistant at DeLaSalle for the last two years and my experience with MapleBrook has prepared me to take over a head coaching job,” Browne said.

Coach Browne has kept tabs on his alma mater and has a vision to return the Orioles to success.

“I watched Pat (Hager) coach the last couple of years and kept my eye on the program,” Browne said. “I think the size of the program has dropped a little bit. When I was here we had more numbers so I think increasing the number of boys will be my first goal as far as how to bring the program back to what it used to be.”

The Orioles finished the season with a 6-7-2 record and graduated 12 seniors.
